About Teaching Mums
Teaching Mums exists because most parenting advice online is either generic AI-written filler or written for an idealised version of family life that doesn’t match how it actually feels at 2am with a teething baby.
What we’re about
Every guide on this site is grounded in what UK parents actually discuss on parenting forums, cross-checked against current NHS and gov.uk guidance where the facts matter: not written from a template. We cover the topics that come up constantly in real family life: sleep, feeding, potty training, behaviour, school, money, and the parts of motherhood that don’t get talked about enough.
We’re not going to pretend every parenting question has one right answer. Where there’s a genuine debate among parents: sleep training methods, gentle parenting versus firmer boundaries, baby-led weaning versus purees: we try to lay out both sides honestly rather than pushing one “correct” method.
What we won’t do
- Pretend there’s a single “right” way to parent when the evidence genuinely doesn’t support one
- Give medical advice: always speak to your GP or health visitor for anything specific to your child
- Publish content we haven’t grounded in real research or real parent experience
